Great Opportunity to lead within a exciting local Gin brand

The gin revolution has taken the world by storm. South Africa and more specifically Cape Town has become a Gin capital of the world with it’s unique and infinitely rich floral kingdom adding to a truly South African experience. Woodstock Gin Co established in 2014 has been a pioneer during the local revival of this beautifully intriguing classic spirit.

Woodstock Gin Co has established a brand home in the heart of Woodstock and is looking for a store manager to help curate the instore experience.

This is an incredible opportunity to combine store management, brand ambassadorship and be part of the production process.

Responsibilities

Performs the role of “Standard Bearer”: Setting the example for staff to deliver a standard of service and presentation that meets guest needs and expectations.

Ensuring HR and recruitment procedures and policies are adhered to in creating and efficiency cost effective workforce that empowers the guest experience through continuous training on product knowledge

Accountable for stock and inventory management while company GP targets.

Responsible for instore bookings oversight, supervising of cash and basic accounting principles and processes.

Create and uphold Standard Operating Procedures to maximise operational efficiency.

Working with General Manager, brand owners and staff to tell the brand narrative through in store storytelling, social media platforms and by creating an exceptional customer experience.  

Have complete understanding of the distilling process and the production processes.

Assist brand team and distiller on small batch , limited edition and seasonal products including product conception and execution on site test and small batch still.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years experience as a manager in the hospitality sector.

  • Familiarity with Google Apps including online calendars and cloud based organisational systems.

  • A knowledge of standard software packages and the ability to learn company-specific software if required

  • The ability to research and problem solve.

  • Strong communication skills (spoken, written and and face to face)

  • Flexibility and adaptability

  • The ability to be proactive and take the initiative

  • Sound judgement and detail oriented

  • Collaboration Skills

Renumeration Package

CTC - R18 -22K depending on experience.
